June 1 - 5, 2010. The National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education will be held at the National Harbor in Maryland. The NCORE conference is a comprehensive national forum on issues of race and ethnicity in American higher education. The conference focuses on creating and sustaining comprehensive institutional change designed to improve racial and ethnic relations on campus and to expand opportunities for educational access and success by culturally diverse, traditionally underrepresented populations. See the list of presenters including Gloria Ladson-Billings, Tim Wise, Sherman Alexie, Jim Loewen, Kip Fulbeck and many more. Speakers' books. Teaching for Change will partner with NCORE on the keynote and major author book signings. The Zinn Education Project (coordinated by Teaching for Change and Rethinking Schools) will partner with Voices of a People's History on a People Speak Performance on the evening on June 4.
