Peniel Joseph Gets Serious With Colbert About Colorblind Racism and the Voting Rights Act

One of our favorite authors, Tufts professor Peniel Joseph, spoke on the Colbert Report on June 25 about the importance of Section 4 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act in the context of colorblind racism and the history of the civil rights movement.

Joseph is the author of Dark Days, Bright Nights: From Black Power to Barack Obama and other books on the hidden history of the Black Power movement.
