Caribbean Connections: Puerto Rico introduces students to the history, economy, environment, and culture of Puerto Rico through essays, poetry, and fiction. The third edition, edited by Marilisa Jiménez García, includes many new pieces and updates to the original text to reflect the political, social, and environmental events of the past decade. Selected pieces are available individually online and the entire book can be downloaded as a PDF for free.
Teach Central America
More than seven million Central Americans reside in the United States today, yet the lack of resources in most schools on Central American heritage make the rich history and literature of the region invisible. Teaching for Change has launched a campaign to encourage and support teaching about Central America.
