Her first event in downtown Tulsa on March 28, featuring five authors, was a big success. Jenice spoke about the importance of teaching outside the textbook about the Civil Rights Movement and sold out of copies!
The second event was held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on April 25. Civil rights attorney Michelle Coles was also in attendance. Her book, Black Was the Ink, introduces high school students to the hidden history of Reconstruction.

Jenice L. View is bringing the Teaching for Change publication that she co-edited, Putting the Movement Back Into Civil Rights Teaching, on the national Delta Authors on Tour.
